Central Bureau of Investigation vs Unknown — Disha Salian death case

Nasrapur minor rape and murder case — 65-year-old convicted and sentenced to death

On 29 June 2026, a Pune POCSO court sentenced 65-year-old Bhimrao Kamble to death for the rape and murder of a three-year-old girl in Nasrapur. Characterizing the crime as rarest of the rare, the court noted that even the death penalty was inadequate following a trial based on a 1,100-page chargesheet filed on 16 May 2026.
