State vs. 11 operatives of Bangladesh-based terror group (JMB) — multi-state anti-terror operation

The NIA filed a chargesheet against 11 accused operatives of Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK), an offshoot of the Bangladesh-based Jama'atul Mubeen (JMB) terror group. The accused are charged with attempting to expand terror ideology across West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura. They were arrested in a multi-state anti-terror operation led by Assam STF.

The NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet before the NIA special court in Jammu against Hafiz Saeed, chief of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit and its proxy organization TRF, in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack. The chargesheet details Pakistan's alleged conspiracy, Saeed's role, and evidence collected during the investigation.

The NIA filed a chargesheet against Faijan in a case involving alleged online radicalisation linked to JeM and Al-Qaeda. The chargesheet invokes provisions of UAPA, BNS, and the Arms Act. The accused is alleged to have been radicalised online by terror organisations.

Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam are accused of alleged conspiracy related to large-scale communal violence that erupted in northeast Delhi in February 2020. Their fresh bail pleas were rejected by the Delhi court. The case invokes multiple IPC provisions and UAPA offences.

Insha Jan is accused in connection with the Pulwama terror attack. A special NIA court rejected her bail plea, emphasizing that under Section 43-D(5) of the UAPA, bail cannot be granted if the court finds reasonable grounds to believe the accusations are prima facie true.

Asiya Andrabi and two others were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment under UAPA provisions. Andrabi was arrested in 2018 and was found guilty on January 14, 2026. She has filed an appeal against her life sentence in the Delhi High Court.
