State vs 11 accused — 2022 Khargone Ram Navami communal violence

Umar Khalid, a student activist, was accused by Delhi police of being a key conspirator in the February 2020 north-east Delhi riots. He has been held in Tihar Jail for over five years without trial or bail, except for a brief reprieve granted in December 2022. The case involves allegations related to the riots but remains pending without final judgment.

A Visva Bharati University graduate and labour activist was arrested for alleged involvement in violent protests by industrial workers in Noida on April 13, 2025, demanding higher minimum wages. She has been named in 11 FIRs related to the unrest and faces charges including arson, vandalism, attempt to murder, and incitement to violence. Police allege she played a key role in instigating workers toward violent protest.

An FIR was registered against an Army commanding officer and approximately 40 soldiers for allegedly assaulting police personnel and other government officials at Kishtwar police station in Jammu & Kashmir. The accused are alleged to have caused injuries to multiple police personnel and the ARTO, vandalized official vehicles, damaged the police station gate, and caused damage to government property.
