State vs. P. Midhun Reddy and others — Punganur election violence case

Police registered three cases against YSRCP MP P. Midhun Reddy and approximately 70 others following violence during local body election nominations in Punganur. After the Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed YSRCP petitions regarding these incidents on 21 October 2026, the party appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ordered the State Election Commission to defer the final candidate list publication to 26 October 2026, while a TDP-led alliance formally requested a Special Investigation Team probe into the violence on 24 October 2026.
