Enforcement Directorate vs Gautam Kundu — Rose Valley chit fund scam

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Gautam Kundu, chairman of the Rose Valley group, regarding allegations of illegal fund collection and financial irregularities. On 1 October 2026, the Calcutta High Court directed the Assets Disposal Committee to complete the refund process for victims of the Rose Valley financial scam within five months.

CBI vs Unknown Accused — Bogtui violence case

The Calcutta High Court transferred the investigation into the 2022 Bogtui village violence, where eight people were burnt to death, to the CBI. As reported on 23 June 2026, the CBI has filed a chargesheet and three supplementary chargesheets naming 27 accused individuals in the case and arrested an additional accused person.
