In the 2013 Jhiram Ghati massacre case, an NIA special court in Jagdalpur convicted 10 individuals on 05 September 2026 for the attack on Congress leaders. On 15 September 2026, the court sentenced all 10 convicts to death. The convicts were granted 30 days from 15 September 2026 to challenge the verdict before the High Court.
