Corruption allegations against Chandigarh Municipal Corporation councilors

The Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating corruption allegations involving councilors and officials in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation related to vending zones and waste management. Following the registration of an FIR, the agency is preparing to interrogate the Joint Commissioner and an Account Officer regarding a 14 lakh bribe case as reported on 25 October 2026.
