Jaipur Royal Family property dispute

State vs. Aadya Prasad Tiwari — Mahant Narendra Giri death case

Aadya Prasad Tiwari is an accused in the 2021 death case of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad president Mahant Narendra Giri. Prakash Industries Limited v. Directorate of Enforcement & CBI — Coal Block Allocation and Money Laundering

Prakash Industries Limited (PIL) is accused of obtaining Chotia and Fatehpur coal block allocations through fraud and misrepresentation in applications. The case involves allegations of submitting false documents to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, generating proceeds of crime through coal extraction and sale, and money laundering via share price manipulation and property acquisition. The Supreme Court cancelled the allocations in 2014. PIL remains accused (not convicted) across CBI/corruption cases and ED/PMLA enforcement proceedings, with ongoing trials and appellate litigation in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.

State vs Unknown — Dharavi custodial death case

A 29-year-old hawker died in police custody after his arrest for allegedly harassing his wife in Mumbai. While the Mumbai Crime Branch took over the investigation as reported on 26 September 2019, the Supreme Court directed the preservation of CCTV footage and medical records related to the death on 23 October 2025.

State vs. Mamman Khan — Nuh violence cases

Congress MLA Mamman Khan faced four FIRs in connection with the 31 July 2023 Nuh communal violence, for which he was initially granted bail as reported on 3 October 2023. On 13 September 2025, the Supreme Court of India ordered a joint trial for the MLA, overturning a lower court order that had separated his trial from the co-accused.

In re: Stray dog menace in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya High Court is hearing a Public Interest Litigation concerning the management of stray dogs in the state. Following directives to form a committee under the Animal Birth Control Rules and acquire shelters, the court mandated on 5 September 2025 that stray dogs be captured, vaccinated, and kept under observation. The High Court previously sought permission from the Supreme Court to retain jurisdiction over the matter as reported on 1 September 2025.

Centre for Public Interest Litigation vs Union of India — CAG appointment process

State vs Mohan Nayak N — Gauri Lankesh murder case

Mohan Nayak N, an accused in the 2017 murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh, faces charges under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act after the Supreme Court restored them in October 2021.
