Ramesh Singh Munda murder case

Former Jharkhand minister Gopal Krishna Patar, alias Raja Peter, and several others were arrested by the National Investigation Agency for allegedly masterminding and executing the 2008 murder of JD(U) leader Ramesh Singh Munda in Bundu, Ranchi. The National Investigation Agency filed a chargesheet against Raja Peter as reported on 03 April 2018. As reported on 07 November 2019, former Maoist leader Kundan Pahan, incarcerated for his role in the killing, sought court permission to contest the Tamar assembly elections.
