National Investigation Agency vs Yasin Malik

Yasin Malik was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in a terror funding case on 27 May 2022. While the National Investigation Agency's appeal for the death penalty is pending before the Delhi High Court with a hearing set for 9 December 2026, a Delhi court ordered the commencement of trial proceedings against Malik and six others in an 8.94 crore money laundering case on 24 October 2026.

State vs 38 convicts — 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case

In February 2022, a special court sentenced 38 individuals to death and 11 to life imprisonment for the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts, a decision upheld by the Gujarat High Court on 7 July 2026. As of 19 October 2026, the Supreme Court of India has stayed the execution of certain death row convicts, including Mohammad Tanvir and Ahmed Bawa, pending the submission of prison, probation, and psychological evaluation reports.

State vs Asiya Andrabi and others — UAPA case

Asiya Andrabi and two others were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment under UAPA provisions. Andrabi was arrested in 2018 and was found guilty on January 14, 2026. She has filed an appeal against her life sentence in the Delhi High Court.
