Former judge Giribala Singh and her son Samarth Singh are accused by the CBI of abetment to suicide in the death of Twisha Sharma, who was found dead in her Bhopal home in May 2026. State vs 38 convicts — 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case

State vs Building Owner — Satya Niketan building collapse case

A five-storey residential building collapsed in Satya Niketan on 6 September 2026, resulting in seven deaths and an investigation into illegal construction and culpable homicide. The building owner and his wife were remanded to judicial custody on 8 September 2026, while the owner's son, the building contractor, and an absconding PG operator who surrendered on 11 September 2026 were placed in police custody as of 12 September 2026. The Delhi High Court is monitoring the case under the direction of the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court — Dowry death case with acquittal of husband and 17 in-laws

The Court determined that the prosecution's case was fatally undermined by unsealed forensic recoveries and identical, stereotyped eyewitness testimonies that suggested the witnesses were tutored.
