State vs Unknown Accused — Sexual harassment of female journalist

The Supreme Court is overseeing a probe into allegations that Delhi Police personnel sexually harassed and assaulted female journalists during protests. As of 16 October 2026, the Court is deliberating the formation of an independent, all-women panel to conduct the investigation. Previously, on 15 October 2026, the Court granted protection from coercive action to a female journalist and directed the Delhi Police to preserve all relevant CCTV footage and digital evidence.

State vs 36-year-old man and two others — Abduction, rape, and attempted murder of six-year-old child

A 36-year-old man and two others allegedly abducted and raped a six-year-old child and attempted to murder her on 9 May 2025. While two of the accused were apprehended, the 36-year-old evaded arrest. The case relates to an incident occurring soon after the accused's acquittal by the Supreme Court.
