State vs. Unknown Accused — Death of a 14-year-old tribal girl in Dumka

A 14-year-old pregnant tribal girl was found hanging from a tree in Dumka, Jharkhand, in September 2022, leading to a police investigation under the POCSO and SC/ST Acts. A man was arrested for the alleged rape and murder of the girl on 14 October 2026. The case is under investigation.
