A 17-year-old son of an Additional District and Sessions Judge is accused of a fatal hit-and-run on 25 October 2026 in Cheranalloor that killed a scooter rider. Following his initial release on station bail on 25 October 2026, the minor was re-taken into custody on 26 October 2026, and the judge was formally booked as an accused on 26 October 2026. The investigation has been transferred to the District Crime Branch, and the Kerala High Court is currently evaluating potential administrative action against the judge as reported on 27 October 2026.

State vs. Father of minor — Mysuru fatal car accident case

On 19 March 2026, the Supreme Court of India upheld this bail, rejecting the state's challenge regarding the accused's alleged intoxication and lack of remorse during the incident.
