In re: Retention of Government Accommodation by Political Leaders

The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is reviewing the policy regarding the retention of official government bungalows by political leaders, including Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ravinder Raina. On 15 October 2026, the administration informed the court that both leaders are permitted to retain their residences until March 2027. The court scheduled the next hearing for 12 November 2026 to seek further clarity on the policy.
