State vs Accused in POCSO case — Brothel customer bail case

Multiple individuals were charged under the BNS, POCSO Act, Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and SC/ST Prevention Act regarding allegations of forced prostitution involving a minor. While the Karnataka High Court refused to quash the case against a brothel customer in November 2022, the court granted him bail on 08 September 2026. The court reasoned that a customer cannot be expected to know the age or caste of the victim.
