Enforcement Directorate vs Punjab Cricket Association — Alleged land purchase irregularity
The Enforcement Directorate is investigating the Punjab Cricket Association regarding alleged money laundering in land acquisitions across Bathinda, Amritsar, and Ajnala. Investigators allege real-estate developers purchased agricultural land at low rates before selling it to the association at inflated valuations, totaling approximately 78 crore rupees. Following the submission of a status report to the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 25 September 2026, the agency requested the Mohali police file an FIR as reported on 14 October 2026.
