In re: Deepam Raychura — Liquor tender corruption case

The Bhopal Lokayukta is investigating suspended former OSD Deepam Raichura for allegedly accepting a one-crore rupee bribe and facilitating liquor contracts using a forged 2.75 crore rupee Fixed Deposit Receipt. Following his suspension on 12 October 2026, the Lokayukta registered an FIR against Raichura and contractor Jaswant Singh. As reported on 27 October 2026, the Lokayukta is now seeking to record the statement of Rohit Gogia, who is held in judicial custody, regarding the alleged bribe.

CBI vs Vinay Pathak
