State vs Lalu Yadav and family — Land-for-jobs case
The land-for-jobs case involves allegations of corruption and money laundering against RJD chief Lalu Yadav and his family members. Although charges were initially framed in January 2026, a Delhi court ordered that arguments on the point of charge be heard afresh as of 01 October 2026 at the request of the Enforcement Directorate. The Supreme Court previously permitted the accused to contest the application of Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act during the trial.
