Petition for FIR against Minister Marie Wilson

A plea seeking an FIR against Tamil Nadu Minister Marie Wilson for allegedly admitting to paying a bribe to a previous regime was withdrawn from the Madras High Court as reported on 12 October 2026. A fresh Public Interest Litigation was subsequently filed in the same court on 16 October 2026, requesting a directive for the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption to register an FIR based on these same allegations.

State of Andhra Pradesh vs N. Chandrababu Naidu

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu faced corruption allegations involving the misappropriation of funds in a skill development project. The Supreme Court of India dismissed a challenge to the Andhra Pradesh High Court's decision to quash the 2021 criminal FIR against him on 14 August 2026. The Supreme Court observed that the case was initiated due to political malice, officially closing the matter.

Bofors scandal investigation

The long-standing Bofors scandal, involving allegations of corruption in arms procurement, concluded when the Supreme Court dismissed the final appeal on 7 August 2026. This judgment upheld the 2005 Delhi High Court decision to quash criminal proceedings against the Hinduja brothers and AB Bofors, effectively closing the legal matter.

Court-ordered investigation into Madhabi Puri Buch and others

A special PMLA court in Mumbai had ordered the Anti-Corruption Bureau to register an FIR against former SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch, the BSE Chairman, and other officials regarding fraud allegations. Following an initial stay on the lower court's order, the Bombay High Court quashed the directive on 8 July 2026, citing the absence of a cognisable offence.

State vs Sudhir Parmar — Corruption and Bribery Case

A Panchkula special CBI court discharged former CBI judge Sudhir Parmar, his nephew, and three builders in an April 2023 corruption and bribery case on 20 April 2026. Following this decision, the Enforcement Directorate moved the High Court to challenge the discharge as reported on 15 May 2026.

Enforcement Directorate vs M3M India — Haryana money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate attached properties worth ₹300.11 crore from M3M India in connection with a money laundering probe linked to corruption in Haryana. On 21 April 2026, a CBI Special Court discharged former judge Sudhir Parmar, his nephew, and M3M promoters Roop Bansal and Basant Bansal in the corruption case. The Enforcement Directorate filed an appeal in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 15 May 2026 to challenge these discharge orders.

State vs Aman Singh — Disproportionate assets case

A trial court in Raipur accepted a closure report filed by the Economic Offences Wing of the Anti-Corruption Bureau in a disproportionate assets case against Aman Singh, a former aide to Raman Singh. The court found no evidence of disproportionate assets.

CBI vs Rashmi Shukla — Maharashtra phone tapping case

The Central Bureau of Investigation investigated allegations of corruption involving the unauthorized phone tapping of political leaders by IPS officer Rashmi Shukla. On 8 September 2023, the Bombay High Court quashed two FIRs filed against her regarding these allegations.

State (Karnataka) vs. J. Jayalalithaa and others

A long-standing corruption and disproportionate assets case involving former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and her associates, including V.K. Sasikala. The Supreme Court delivered a verdict in 2017 confirming convictions in the matter.
