Following his arrest by the Anti-Corruption Branch in the sewage plant case, a Delhi court remanded Satyendar Jain to judicial custody on 19 August 2026. The Enforcement Directorate previously filed a prosecution complaint against Jain and 13 others on 8 December 2025.

State of Andhra Pradesh vs N. Chandrababu Naidu

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu faced corruption allegations involving the misappropriation of funds in a skill development project. The Supreme Court of India dismissed a challenge to the Andhra Pradesh High Court's decision to quash the 2021 criminal FIR against him on 14 August 2026. The Supreme Court observed that the case was initiated due to political malice, officially closing the matter.

State (CBI/ED) vs Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia & Others — Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 Corruption and Money Laundering Case

On 27 February 2026, the Rouse Avenue Special Court discharged all 23 accused, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, from the CBI corruption case regarding the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. The CBI challenged this discharge in the Delhi High Court, where Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia filed opposition pleadings as reported on 13 August 2026. Separately, the Delhi High Court initiated criminal contempt proceedings against several AAP leaders in connection with these legal developments on 14 May 2026.

State vs PCDA Officials and Contractual Worker — Bribery case

The CBI Anti-Corruption Branch booked two public servants working at PCDA (Pay and Accounts Department) and a contractual worker in a bribery case. The CBI alleged that one accused received Rs 2.72 lakh from three contractors.

Bofors scandal investigation

The long-standing Bofors scandal, involving allegations of corruption in arms procurement, concluded when the Supreme Court dismissed the final appeal on 7 August 2026. This judgment upheld the 2005 Delhi High Court decision to quash criminal proceedings against the Hinduja brothers and AB Bofors, effectively closing the legal matter.

State v. Christian Michel James & Ors — AgustaWestland VVIP Helicopter Procurement Scam

The CBI and ED are prosecuting Christian Michel James, S.P. Tyagi, and others for alleged corruption in the 2013 AgustaWestland VVIP helicopter procurement scam. Although granted bail in the CBI case on 18 February 2025 and the ED case on 4 March 2025, Michel has not met the bail conditions and continues to be held in custody. As of 24 July 2026, the Supreme Court is considering his plea challenging his detention and provisions of the India-UAE extradition treaty.

CBI vs Forest Officials — Corruption cases against former Jim Corbett Director and senior forest officers

The Uttarakhand High Court transferred corruption cases against the former Director of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve and senior forest officers to a Special CBI Court for trial.

Court-ordered investigation into Madhabi Puri Buch and others

A special PMLA court in Mumbai had ordered the Anti-Corruption Bureau to register an FIR against former SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch, the BSE Chairman, and other officials regarding fraud allegations. Following an initial stay on the lower court's order, the Bombay High Court quashed the directive on 8 July 2026, citing the absence of a cognisable offence.

A Delhi court has ordered the framing of charges against two Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials for their alleged involvement in corruption and criminal conspiracy.

State vs Sudhir Parmar — Corruption and Bribery Case

A Panchkula special CBI court discharged former CBI judge Sudhir Parmar, his nephew, and three builders in an April 2023 corruption and bribery case on 20 April 2026. Following this decision, the Enforcement Directorate moved the High Court to challenge the discharge as reported on 15 May 2026.

Enforcement Directorate vs M3M India — Haryana money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate attached properties worth ₹300.11 crore from M3M India in connection with a money laundering probe linked to corruption in Haryana. On 21 April 2026, a CBI Special Court discharged former judge Sudhir Parmar, his nephew, and M3M promoters Roop Bansal and Basant Bansal in the corruption case. The Enforcement Directorate filed an appeal in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 15 May 2026 to challenge these discharge orders.

State of Haryana vs Former CBI Judge and others

The Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau filed a chargesheet against former CBI judge Sudhir Parmar and others in a corruption case. Following a Panchkula court order that granted discharge to the former judge, the Enforcement Directorate filed an appeal in the Punjab and Haryana High Court as reported on 15 May 2026.

CBI vs Sanjay Bhandari and others — Pilatus aircraft corruption case

The CBI and Enforcement Directorate are investigating allegations of kickbacks and money laundering involving arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, Pilatus Aircraft, and officials from the Indian Air Force and Ministry of Defence regarding a Rs 2,895 crore deal for 75 trainer aircraft. As reported on 19 April 2023, the Enforcement Directorate attached Rs 4.50 crore worth of property linked to the accused. On 5 May 2026, a Delhi court permitted the confiscation of additional assets belonging to the fugitive dealer.

ED vs Deepak Talwar

Corporate lobbyist Deepak Talwar faces criminal proceedings by the Enforcement Directorate and CBI concerning alleged corruption and the illegal diversion of foreign funds in the Advantage India case. The investigation involves allegations of kickbacks related to aviation deals and the attachment of a 120-crore property in Aerocity. The Delhi High Court issued an order in the ongoing matter on 28 April 2026.

State vs Surendra Kumar Bansal — Corruption case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has formally registered two FIRs to take over corruption investigations from the Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch concerning alleged fraud in Public Works Department contracts involving the late Surendra Kumar Bansal. These cases had been under investigation by the Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch for approximately nine years without a chargesheet as reported on 28 April 2026.

Abhishek Jha vs State of Jharkhand — Anticipatory bail plea

Abhishek Jha, the husband of a Jharkhand IAS officer, sought anticipatory bail in a money laundering and corruption case following the rejection of his plea by the High Court. The Supreme Court dismissed his anticipatory bail application on 8 August 2023, and subsequently dismissed a further application filed by Jha and his father on 3 February 2026.

Prakash Industries Limited v. Directorate of Enforcement & CBI — Coal Block Allocation and Money Laundering

Prakash Industries Limited (PIL) is accused of obtaining Chotia and Fatehpur coal block allocations through fraud and misrepresentation in applications. The case involves allegations of submitting false documents to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, generating proceeds of crime through coal extraction and sale, and money laundering via share price manipulation and property acquisition. The Supreme Court cancelled the allocations in 2014. PIL remains accused (not convicted) across CBI/corruption cases and ED/PMLA enforcement proceedings, with ongoing trials and appellate litigation in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.

The Bombay High Court has lifted an interim stay on a corruption investigation involving employees of Larsen & Toubro Limited, Cognizant, and various government officials. The probe concerns allegations of bribery and corruption.

CBI vs National Medical Commission officials and others — Corruption scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing an alleged corruption syndicate involving the National Medical Commission, which reportedly includes ghost faculty and hawala transactions. Two individuals from Telangana have been named in connection with the ongoing investigation.
