State vs. Various accused — Manipur ethnic violence and sexual assault case

Multiple trials and investigations regarding ethnic violence and sexual assault in Manipur are ongoing before the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has proposed the establishment of special courts for day-to-day trials and, as reported on 21 September 2026, directed the Manipur Chief Secretary to file a detailed report regarding 731 deaths and 25 suspicious fatalities in relief camps.

NIA vs 10 Accused — Manipur ethnic violence case

The National Investigation Agency arrested 10 individuals on 19 June 2026 in connection with six cases of ethnic violence in Manipur. As reported on 10 August 2026, the Supreme Court has proposed the establishment of special courts to expedite the trial of cases probed by the NIA and CBI related to the ongoing conflict.
