State vs R Veeramani and two associates — Sexual assault on minor girl in Chennai

Gem Granites chairman R. Veeramani and two associates, Shanthi and Mahendra Simhan, are facing allegations of sexual assault on minors in Chennai. As of 27 October 2026, a Chennai special court has extended their police custody, alongside one other individual, while the Tamil Nadu police have informed the Madras High Court that the chargesheet for the primary case will be filed within three weeks.
