Actor Darshan and multiple co-accused are charged in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy. Darshan was arrested on June 11, 2024. The Karnataka High Court granted bail to Darshan and co-accused on December 13, 2024, which the State of Karnataka appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court reserved judgment on the State's appeal on July 24, 2025.

Three members of a family—Somasundar (55), his wife Muthulakshmi (48), and their younger daughter Supriya (20)—were found stabbed to death in their apartment in Seegehalli under K.R. A 24–26-year-old physiotherapist named Sai Surabhi was found dead in a locked room at a homestay near Nandi Hills in Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka on Monday. Her boyfriend, Sanjeeth Ali, a cab driver from Kerala, was found unconscious beside her. Police have registered a murder case and are investigating whether he murdered her and attempted suicide, or whether they entered a suicide pact.

A 23-year-old woman named Anjali was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend Rajeev in Bengaluru on a Sunday evening. The incident occurred in the Mahalakshmi Layout Police Station area following an argument over marriage. Rajeev was arrested soon after the incident.
