State vs. Thar Driver — Hit-and-Run Death of Sarthak Mattoo in Delhi

An FIR was registered following a protest at Jantar Mantar on July 20, 2026, in which a youth identified as Sahil Lochab sustained pellet injuries. The FIR was registered after Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi held a dharna at Delhi Police station. A 25-year-old woman from Noida, Ruchika Singh, was booked under a Zero FIR for allegedly making abusive remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. The FIR was transferred to Parliament Street Police Station for further investigation. The charges allege that her comments hurt the dignity of the constitutional post and were intended to disturb public peace.
