Udhayanidhi Stalin, Leader of Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, was arrested from his home on charges related to remarks made against actor Trisha. The DMK party alleged the arrest was political vendetta. The case involves allegations of offensive statements.

A 25-year-old woman from Noida, Ruchika Singh, was booked under a Zero FIR for allegedly making abusive remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. The FIR was transferred to Parliament Street Police Station for further investigation. The charges allege that her comments hurt the dignity of the constitutional post and were intended to disturb public peace.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das filed a civil suit in the Delhi High Court against digital media portals, social media intermediaries, and political commentator Abhijit Iyer-Mitra for disclosing his residential address and seeking damages for invasion of privacy.
