   Pune: A 33-year-old IT engineer woman has committed suicide in Pune, Maharashtra, alleging harassment by her in-laws for dowry. Police have registered a case against her husband and his family members in this connection. The deceased woman has been identified as Trishna Rahul Sakpal. According to the complaint filed by her father Balakrishna Nikam, Trishna was married to Rahul Sakpal in 2018. Nikam alleged that after the marriage, she was pressured to give her entire salary, transfer her ancestral flat worth crores to her mother-in-law's name, and buy a flat worth Rs 1 crore for her father-in-law. Distressed by physical and mental harassment, Trishna returned to her maternal home in 2021. Later, her husband filed for divorce with the intention of remarrying, but this case is currently pending in court. Subsequently, she committed suicide at her home on September 29. In the suicide note found by the police, she mentioned that her husband, mother-in-law Vaishali, father-in-law Sanjay, sister-in-law Shaili, and grandmother-in-law Shakuntala Salunke were responsible for her death. Based on the complaint filed by the woman's father, an FIR has been registered against the five accused.
