Delhi Police arrested multiple suspects including Shoyab Khan from Uttar Pradesh and Ravi Kashyap, along with associates from Punjab and Gujarat, in connection with organised criminal syndicates operating across India and Pakistan. The arrests were part of a large-scale operation conducted over 48 hours involving 1,000 teams.

Delhi Police conducted Operation Kavach 14.0, arresting over 800 individuals in a 48-hour crackdown on drugs and organized crime. The operation involved over 1,000 teams targeting suspects linked to criminal gangs operating across India and Pakistan.

A Public Interest Litigation was filed seeking steps to expedite NDPS trials and tackle drug abuse. The Supreme Court issued notices to the Centre and States demanding action on expediting NDPS cases and addressing the national drugs problem.

An IPS officer was arrested in connection with a fake drug bribery scheme involving Rs 3 crore. The officer allegedly sought money to 'fix' a CBI case related to a counterfeit medicine racket. Several politicians were also found to be involved in the investigation.

A drug trafficking accused arrested with approximately 10 grams of heroin died by suicide in Ludhiana jail custody. The accused allegedly used a piece of cloth torn from a mattress zipper to hang himself while in the lock-up. The incident occurred on a Thursday morning.
