An accused was acquitted by the Delhi High Court in a POCSO case on appeal. The trial court had convicted the appellant under sections 376AB and 341 IPC and section 6 POCSO Act on September 4, 2025, but the High Court found the victim's distress in court insufficient for conviction.

On December 16, 2012, a 23-year-old physiotherapy student was gang-raped, brutally assaulted, and murdered in a moving bus in south Delhi. Six people were accused of the crime; one was a juvenile.
