Ramesh Mhatre and associates were arrested for allegedly assaulting doctors and hospital staff at KDMC's Shastri Nagar Hospital in Dombivli on July 6. The Bombay High Court granted bail to Mhatre and three associates with strict conditions, including staying outside Maharashtra until chargesheet is filed. The Supreme Court heard Maharashtra's plea seeking cancellation of Mhatre's bail.

CBI arrested IAS officer Pankaj Agarwal in connection with an alleged Rs 657-crore fraud involving IDFC First Bank. Chargesheets have been filed against five bankers, one CSCL official, and one private individual. The case involves suspected financial misconduct at multiple levels.

Two separate FIRs were registered against SFI (Student Federation of India) activists at a Sanskrit varsity campus following protests on August 13 and August 16, 2026. The charges include unlawful assembly, rioting, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, voluntarily causing hurt and grievous hurt, assault on women, and assault on public servants. The accused were subsequently granted bail by the court.
