In re: Compliance of Paying Guest (PG) accommodations in Bengaluru

The Karnataka High Court is overseeing compliance proceedings regarding safety and licensing standards for paying guest accommodations in Bengaluru. Following the court's direction to seal illegal facilities that have not contested their notices, the Greater Bengaluru Authority identified 3,597 unauthorized facilities and is developing new standard operating procedures as of 03 November 2026.
