State vs Unidentified Accused — Lucknow wildlife smuggling case

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau conducted a joint operation in Lucknow, resulting in the arrest of an individual allegedly involved in a wildlife smuggling network. During the operation, seven rare falcons, valued by authorities at approximately 14 crore rupees, were recovered.

State vs. Unknown Accused — Indore turtle smuggling case

The State Tiger Strike Force arrested an individual in Indore and recovered 21 protected turtles following intelligence from a wildlife smuggling syndicate member. The matter remains under investigation as of 21 October 2026.

State vs. Unknown Accused — Two-headed snake smuggling case

In Lakhimpur Kheri, eight police personnel including an inspector were suspended and a report was filed against nine individuals by 30 September 2026 for alleged involvement in the smuggling of rare two-headed snakes and corruption. As of 22 October 2026, the suspended officers are facing a formal departmental enquiry regarding the misuse of their official position.
