In re: Punjab and Haryana High Court order barring Rohtak judges from hearing bail pleas in DHL fraud case

The Supreme Court has stayed a Punjab and Haryana High Court order that previously restrained judicial officers in Rohtak from presiding over bail applications related to a fraud case involving the DHL group. The High Court had earlier issued the restraint order citing concerns that Rohtak police were allegedly shielding certain accused builders in the case.

In re: Negligence by Investigation Officer in POCSO case

The Allahabad High Court directed a female Investigation Officer (IO) to remain in court custody until 4 PM and pay a fine of 5 thousand rupees for failing to recover a mobile phone as evidence in a POCSO case.

In re: Appointment of Special Public Prosecutors for POCSO cases

The Kerala High Court quashed a State Government Order that permitted Special Public Prosecutors for POCSO cases to handle non-POCSO matters on 14 October 2026. The Court directed the State to appoint exclusive prosecutors within six weeks of that date. On 22 October 2026, the Court further ordered the State Government to evaluate the establishment of 13 additional permanent and exclusive POCSO Special Courts and report its decision to the Court.
