NIA investigation — Methamphetamine seizure case, Tamil Nadu and Mizoram

NIA took over investigation of a methamphetamine seizure case in August 2026 after initial chargesheet was filed on March 27, 2025. Accused were chargesheeted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and the Foreigners Act, 1946. NIA conducted searches across 13 locations in Tamil Nadu and Mizoram with cash recovery.
