State vs. Ajay Thakur

History-sheeter Ajay Thakur was found unconscious while under police guard at a private hospital in Kanpur as reported on 26 October 2026. On 27 October 2026, the Barra police executed a non-bailable warrant against him at a private hospital near the Naubasta intersection in connection with an old extortion case. The matter is under investigation.

State vs Ghisiyavan

The Chauk police in Maharajganj arrested a 78-year-old man named Ghisiyavan, who had been absconding for ten years. The arrest was executed following a warrant issued by the court in connection with a case from 2015.

State vs Mahto and others — trial in absentia for absconding accused

A trial in absentia was ordered against Mahto after he was declared a proclaimed offender. The chargesheet was filed against Mahto and two other accused (the sons of Mahto and Bhardwaj), with charges framed by the principal district and sessions judge at Rohini.
