State vs accused persons — human trafficking case, Khunti, Jharkhand

The Telangana police registered one of the first cases in India of human trafficking committed for the purpose of forcing victims to commit cyber fraud. At least 149 human trafficking victims were involved in the operation, which was identified during a joint Interpol operation.

Factory owner Ankit Balyan, his father Pradeep Balyan, and supervisor Shiva Tyagi have been booked under human trafficking, bonded labour, murder, child labour, and SC/ST atrocities provisions; two are arrested and one is absconding.
